Brief description of role or responsibilities
Eva is the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for CF at the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC. She also actively contributes to the education of students and residents that rotate through the site.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
I met Eva very early on during my year 2 pharmacy residency in pediatrics at BCCH. She facilitated my pharmacokinetic and therapeutic drug monitoring refresher session during my week 1 orientation. During this session, Eva was so passionate and created such a safe learning environment. She is very approachable, kind, and willing to share her knowledge and experience.
Since transitioning out of my resident role and back into the pharmacist role, Eva has continued to be such an amazing mentor and leader at BCCH. She puts so much effort into making sure each and every one of her patients are heard and are provided with the best possible care. I am so grateful to know such an outstanding pharmacist as both a colleague and mentor.
