Clinical Pharmacist, Richmond Hospital Acting Pharmacy Project Manager CST-Richmond

Profile submitted by: Gabriel Loh

Brief description of role or responsibilities

Nichoe has taken on the role as Temporary Pharmacy Project Manager for Richmond Hospital as our hospital site prepares for onboarding to CST-Cerner in mid-June 2024.  Nichoe has the task of identifying our department’s current distribution/clinical workflows and aligning them with Cerner workflows, liaising with multiple other multidisciplinary team members within Cerner and Hospital Leadership, and also assisting our Clinical Informatics Pharmacy Specialist with hands-on training of peer mentors and pharmacy staff

Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:

Nichoe deserves kudos for taking on the challenge as a RH Pharmacy Project Manager even though he wasn’t in a supervisory role in our department prior to this secondment.  He has been working hard to build his project management skills on extreme short notice. He is adding these newly acquired skills to his strong clinical pharmacy background and the interprofessional relationships that he has built already working on the surgical units over the years here at RH.  Nichoe has had to work through some major hurdles and last-minute decision changes to date but continues to soldier on.  Despite the challenges, he has a great rapport with our staff and working hard to help our department meet our objective for Cerner implementation in June 2024.  I am indebted to all the work that Nichoe has done so far representing RH Pharmacy in this massive change initiative!  Kudos for all of your great work to date!
