Brief description of role or responsibilities
Dr. Michael Kammermayer is a highly experienced clinical pharmacy specialist in Internal Medicine at Burnaby Hospital.
His expertise lies in providing pharmaceutical care to patients with complex medical needs. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he serves as the Experimental Education Facilitator (EEF) at Burnaby Hospital and has mentored pharmacy students and residents during their training.
Dr. Kammermayer is the chairperson of the CSHP BC Branch Advocacy Committee and also serves as a member of the Residency Advisory Council.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
As a pharmacy resident I had the pleasure of having Dr. Kammermayer’s as a preceptor and mentor. His guidance has positively impacted my practice, and I consider him to be an invaluable resource and mentor for pharmacy students, residents and practicing pharmacists.
As a mentor, he provides me with the tools, guidance, support, and feedback I needed in my residency journey. Dr. Kammermayer’s passion for pharmacy, dedication to patient care, and commitment to mentoring make him an exceptional role model for aspiring pharmacists.
