Brief description of role or responsibilities

Jess is a pharmacy assistant at Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC.

Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:

Created a visual guide for how to include the new epinephrine 1mg/10ml syringes as required for the CHOR emergency anesthesia kits as the new syringes are the same length of the kit itself and therefore do not fit inside the box.

Jess has been an incredible addition to the CW pharmacy department and is an outstanding pharmacy assistant whose warmth, positivity, and constant smile create a genuinely welcoming environment. She brings an uplifting presence to the workplace and consistently approaches every interaction with kindness and professionalism.

Jess reliably goes above and beyond to support pharmacists and the broader pharmacy team, always stepping in where help is needed and taking initiative to ensure workflows run smoothly. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile significantly improve efficiency and reduce workload pressures, making a meaningful difference in day-to-day operations.

Jess’ personality shines through in everything she does. I feel like her positive mood and great attitude radiate off of her, onto the rest of our pharmacy team! She is never late and she’s always just so eager to learn. Role model employee!

Jess’s commitment to excellence is evident in every task she undertakes, and her professionalism sets a standard that positively influences the entire team.
