Brief description of role or responsibilities
The Burnaby Hospital Pharmacy Social Committee is an amazing group of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants who volunteer their time to foster engagement within the department. The committee plans and organizes events and activities throughout the year, celebrating both major and smaller holidays! From coordinating festive gatherings and themed celebrations to welcoming new team members and organizing thoughtful farewells, they play a key role in cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

The Burnaby Hospital Pharmacy Social Committee deserves recognition for the consistent effort and enthusiasm they bring to strengthening team morale. While the committee members do change over the years, the committee’s commitment to creating a fun and supportive environment remains constant. Their work transforms the department during celebrations such as Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, giving staff something to look forward to during the busy and demanding work days. Beyond festivities, they foster connection by warmly welcoming new staff and thoughtfully recognizing colleagues who are moving on. By promoting camaraderie, appreciation, and team spirit, the Social Committee contributes meaningfully to staff well-being! Thank you Burnaby Hospital Pharmacy Social Committee!
