Brief description of role or responsibilities
Luciana is the Director for the large sites portfolio within the Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services (LMPS), which includes Vancouver Acute (VGH/UBCH/GFS), PHC Acute (SPH/MSJ), and RCH. In addition to the site responsibilities, she also oversees the Medication Use Evaluation for LMPS.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
Luciana is a passionate and compassionate pharmacy leader who challenges the status quo and encourages innovation and advancement in our pharmacy profession.
She has mentored/supported our role as regional pharmacy managers, and provided guidance in our leadership development. Luciana is knowledgeable in many areas of pharmacy practice and is a visionary for leading system transformations. Working with Luciana has been invaluable for our professional and personal growth, and we would like to thank her for her kindness and support.
Luciana recently announced that she will be retiring this Spring, after 37 years of dedicated hospital pharmacy service. She has had such positive impact on so many people and our profession over her career.
We will miss you Luciana!
