Dr. Vincent Mabasa is a Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at the Burnaby General Hospital and practices in Critical Care. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC.

Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:

I am truly fortunate to have had the chance to have met Vince through my Y2 Pharmacy Residency. Vince is an inspiring leader who is an early adopter and champion of innovative ways to advance the profession. Beyond his clinical expertise and leadership skills, Vince is a genuinely nurturing mentor. He has played a pivotal role in my professional development, encouraging me to reflect on and hone my own leadership style. He has a rare gift for recognizing individual strengths and providing tailored opportunities that allow pharmacists to make meaningful contributions to both their careers and the larger field. What truly sets I am in awe of Vince’s ability to approach complex, practice-related challenges with a strategic and research-driven mindset. His dedication to both research and education, combined with his exceptional clinical insight, allows him to elevate the profession while also uplifting those around him. I am continually inspired by Vince’s leadership, and it’s because of his mentorship that I feel more confident in navigating my own career in pharmacy.
