Denise is an Infectious Diseases pharmacist responsible for working with the ID team (comprising of an ID
nurse, physician and pharmacist) to provide consults for complex ID patients.
Description of how they are a great mentor or has positively influenced you and the pharmacy profession:
Denise is an inspirational mentor and has greatly influenced my pharmacy career thus far. As my internal
medicine preceptor for residency, she was instrumental in helping me develop my knowledge-base and thought process. She also made me feel welcome on the internal medicine team and helped me to feel more comfortable and confident in making recommendations to physicians. As a colleague, Denise continues to model a passion for the pharmacy profession, personal growth, and a dedication to precepting and inspiring students. Despite her busy schedule, she is very approachable, and has helped me work through multiple challenging ID cases. I aspire to be a strong role model like Denise as my career continues to advance.

Denise is an exceptional mentor and has had a positive influence throughout my pharmacy career. As my clinical advisor during the residency program, Denise has been supportive not only in my clinical and professional development, but also in how I balance my professional and personal obligations. I am
grateful for the time Denise committed throughout the program, and her support has been essential in developing my clinical skills and confidence. Working together as colleagues, Denise continues to be a strong role model through her commitment to patient care, enthusiasm for the pharmacy profession, pursuit of career advancements, and her dedication to seeing students and fellow colleagues succeed.
