Brief description of role or responsibilities​
Danielle, Maddie, Sahar & Erin have been working at Burnaby Hospital for less than a year, following their hospital pharmacy residency. As clinical pharmacists, they rotate through various wards including ICU, general medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
As new clinical pharmacists, they have already proven to be incredible assets to our team. Regardless of their area of practice, they place patient-centered care at the forefront of their work. They are dedicated to ensuring their recommendations are evidence-based, safe, and tailored to each patient’s needs.
Despite being new to the profession, they have made a meaningful impact, whether it is navigating complex drug-related problems, optimizing antimicrobial therapy or participating in interdisciplinary rounds.
