Brief description of role or responsibilities
Will is the clinical pharmacist part of the Richmond Primary Care Network. He supports the patients referred from our family and nurse practitioners, providing comprehensive medication review and input to the physicians and nurse practitioners as well as supporting practicum students and developing therapeutic plans through collaboration with other health care providers.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
Will provides outstanding care to the patients in Richmond. The physician groups have provided overwhelming feedback on how much they appreciate the pharmacist team and Will on their expertise and optimization on medication management. Will is a great team member and willing to go the extra step to ensure that the Primary Care Network team feels supported. His encouraging nature, sense of humour, and focus has really contributed to team-based care. He looks for solutions and his positive approach to change management has brought a strength to the team.
