Brief description of role or responsibilities
Teri is the Associate Dean of Practice Innovation. Amongst many responsibilities, her portfolio includes overseeing the Faculty’s Pharmacists Clinic. This involves supporting the Clinic in terms of its involvement in clinical practice, education and research all centered around people and place.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
Teri exemplifies leadership by modelling best practices in engaging team members. She fosters a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment that brings out the best in people. In addition to her formal responsibilities as Associate Dean, she makes time for one-on-one mentorship tailored to an individual’s interests and areas for growth. She proactively makes introductions and finds opportunities that she knows mentees will benefit from personally and professionally. Teri genuinely wants the best for her team and puts in the time and effort to help them develop. Teri is someone that other pharmacists aspire to be like as a clinician, researcher, educator, mentor and leader.
