Description of impact to improve patient care or provide pharmacy services during the COVID-19 pandemic
There are many great examples of team members going above and beyond to ensure our patients are well taken care of during the COVID-19 pandemic. So much so, I find it difficult to single out any group or person for special recognition. We are ALL doing a great job under these difficult conditions, and I am blown away by the level of commitment and dedication everyone has shown.
With that said, I do want to give a shout out to the people I directly support. I am continually impressed at how our pharmacy assistants continue to hold the front-line in such unprecedented circumstances. They have worked hard to ensure that there are no gaps in the drug distribution process and have remained steadfast since the beginning of the pandemic. Our technician supervisor, Danka, has remained calm and confident, even with the increased anxiety of the situation. She has led the charge in dealing with many last-minute changes in workflows due to unit outbreaks and she works tirelessly to keep us whole. Without her, our team would be lost and we would not have performed as well as we have over the past year. I could not ask to work for a better department or have the privilege of supporting a better team.
