Sandy is a clinical pharmacist at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) and covers a wide range of clinical areas such as oncology, surgery, internal medicine and emergency.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
Sandy is an enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive co-worker! Her compassionate and patient centred approach to care enables her to work well in different practice areas from oncology to surgery to internal medicine. Sandy is known in our department as a “go to person” for oncology related questions.
She places high emphasis on work-life balance and mental health. As a world traveler and avid scuba diver, she is often found sharing travel itineraries within the pharmacy department or helping staff plan their next big trip. Sandy avidly promotes staff wellbeing and currently acts as the SMH Social and Wellness Committee Treasurer.
It is always a pleasure working alongside Sandy!
