These clinical pharmacists provide both direct patient care and dispensary related activities to ensure the safe and effective use of medications in hospitalized patients at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
Description of how they are a great mentor or has positively influenced you and the pharmacy profession:
Rumi has been an amazing mentor to me during my experience as a first-time preceptor for a residency research project titled Evaluation of Aspirin Monotherapy for Venous Thromboembolism After Elective Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty. Rumi encouraged and supported me throughout the process. She shared her expertise, pushed me to think outside of the box, and provided guidance on coaching a pharmacy resident. Our project was one of the successful recipients of the CSHP-BC Branch Pharmacy Practice Residency Awards. This would not have been possible without Rumi’s mentorship! I have learned so much from Rumi and I look forward to applying the skills I have learned to future projects and mentorship opportunities.
