Brief description of role or responsibilities​

Roxane is the Clinical Coordinator at Children’s & Women’s Health Centre of BC and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Pediatric Critical Care. In addition to her various roles at C&W, she is the program coordinator for the Pediatrics Advanced (Year 2) Pharmacy Residency Program, chair of the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board, and a Clinical Professor with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC.

Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:

Roxane has been a mentor to us for many years, providing guidance and support during every step of our careers. From our time as pharmacy students at UBC to our hospital residency programs, the transition to working as clinical pharmacists and now as we embark on new roles as clinical supervisors, Roxane has been instrumental to the path that our careers have taken. During this time Roxane has consistently supported us to continue to learn and refine our skills in clinical practice, teaching and research. Through her trust, has given us the confidence to take on new activities be it precepting an advanced practice learner, leading on a new project, covering a clinical area that intimidates us, Roxane is always encouraging us to try something new. She has taught us to always put the patient first and modeled what it means to provide the best pharmaceutical care possible for our patients. Roxane is a passionate, supportive and inspiriting mentor to many within the C&W pharmacy department and beyond. Her dedication to the profession of pharmacy is evident in the breadth of projects and committees she is involved in.
