Owais is an important asset to the pharmacy team at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
Owais takes wellness seriously. In an effort to recognize the importance of mental health and work-life balance, Owais has become a leader in promoting activities and initiatives that support the wellbeing of the pharmacy department at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH)
He is an inspiration to others to work hard while taking care of themselves and one another. With a smiling face he leads the Pharmacy Department Social and Wellness Committee at SMH which participates in exercise/ being active initiatives, networking and social opportunities, and even community volunteer work for those less fortunate. We look forward to volunteering at the soup kitchen in early April.
