Laura Beresford is a clinical pharmacy specialist in nephrology and solid organ transplant at Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
We have found Laura to be a truly inspiring pharmacy mentor whose guidance, approachability, and clinical insight have had a lasting impact on our growth and confidence. Laura consistently supports not only in developing clinical pharmacy skills, but also in navigating professional development and career growth. Her commitment to developing others consistently fosters meaningful growth across the pharmacy team.
Laura’s kindness, empathy, and sense of humour make her exceptionally easy to learn from and work alongside, and these qualities also shine through in the way she connects with patients and families, something we all find both motivating and inspiring. In her role as a CPS, Laura is a respected leader within the department and a role model for compassionate, patient-centred care. Laura’s dedication to mentorship was formally recognized through her receipt of the Veteran Preceptor of the Year award from the LMPS Residency Program 2024-2025 cohort, an honour that is truly well deserved.
