Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:

Kendra has been a great mentor and positive influence for me and many others in the department. Prior to even applying for residency many years ago, Kendra provided me with valuable insights into Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy and an opportunity to shadow a pediatric clinical pharmacist during her Education role. Her positive attitude and passion for her career was impactful. Since then, I’ve worked in many different capacities with her as a pediatric Y1 resident, staff pharmacist, Y1 residency preceptor, experiential educator, current clinical pharmacy supervisor, and most recently as a Y2 residency preceptor. Throughout all these roles Kendra has been very encouraging and supportive. She provides great advice and tries her best to help pharmacy learners/preceptors meet their learning goals or objectives. Most recently she connected me and the Y2 resident with an opportunity to publish a brief review article. She is a wealth of knowledge and is always very approachable. It’s evident that she cares a lot for the pharmacy department and our profession, thanks for continuing to be a great inspiration and mentor!
