Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:

Cesilia has been an incredibly inspiring mentor throughout my Year 2 pharmacy residency, and she continues to be one of the most encouraging and impactful mentors I have ever had the privilege of working with. Prior to working with Cesilia, I had always heard of her exceptional clinical acumen and was, admittedly, intimidated by the complex nature of Infectious Diseases. However, having Cesilia as my preceptor completely shifted my perspective and approach. She instilled in me a sense of confidence in navigating the ‘grey areas’ of Infectious Disease—an aspect of pharmacy that once felt daunting but is now one of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of my career I have been incredibly fortunate to know Cesilia not only in a professional capacity but also on a personal level. She exemplifies the perfect balance of strong clinical skills and an equally warm, compassionate personality. Her approach to mentorship is one that radiates care, understanding, and unwavering support for the growth and success of those around her. Cesilia’s ability to lead with empathy and clarity makes her a truly remarkable role model. Cesilia has given me the opportunity to share my wins and my areas of improvement with her and she has provided unwavering support in encouraging me to explore more teaching and research opportunities. Her influence has undoubtedly shaped the way I approach both patient care and my broader career, and I will continue to carry her lessons with me as I advance in my profession.
