Brief description of role or responsibilities
Chuchu is a Clinical Pharmacist at BC Children’s & Women’s Hospital. She mainly covers general pediatrics, but also has experience covering pediatric neurology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric surgery, and specialty pediatric medicines (GI, CF, Ad Med, Metabolics) since starting here in June 2024.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
We would like to recognize Chuchu for her excellent work since joining the team. Her willingness to step into various precepting roles early in her career shows her passion for teaching. She’s already precepted her first pediatric pharmacy resident last year and is scheduled to precept in a tiered model soon too. Chuchu is also very dedicated to the profession and continues to be involved with the UBC pharmacy program through precepting OEE students and developing interview questions for the E2P-PharmD Admissions Committee. Aside from actively co-leading the C&W Pharmacy Appreciation Month 2025 Committee, she has also helped plan our department’s holiday parties and is a valued member of the team. Chuchu is a great clinician and collaborates very well with the rest of the CTU team. There have been multiple occasions where she has been involved in complex patient discharges but managed to successfully arrange specialty compounds for her patients to ensure smooth transition of care from hospital to the community. Chuchu’s enthusiasm to cover a multitude of clinical areas and her commitment to the profession is much appreciated! Keep up the great work.
