While Jodi’s official role would be the Regional Oncology Pharmacy Technician, she goes above and beyond in so many ways to support the team and improve patient care that the reality of outlining her role and responsibilities would need to take the form of a novella.
Describe how the individual or team made a positive contribution to patient care or their pharmacy department:
Jodi is an invaluable member of the Northern Health Regional Oncology Pharmacy team. The range of technical tasks she manages each day is both diverse and impressive—from entering information and identifying missing or out‑of‑range labs, to processing orders and keeping the patient treatment schedule accurate and up to date.
Where Jodi truly shines is in her role as the communication hub for our team, which is spread across B.C., and for the Community Oncology Network (CON) clinics, hospital pharmacies, and GPOs throughout the region. With nine CON clinics and countless individuals reaching out for her knowledge and support, she consistently manages multiple communication channels at once. She answers questions, flags issues that need attention, and does it all with kindness, respect, and her signature enthusiasm (capital letters included).
Jodi puts her heart into her work. She lifts up the people around her and helps create the conditions for our collective success. We are incredibly fortunate to have her on our team and deeply appreciate everything she does to support the safe and effective delivery of cancer care across Northern Health.
